Here is our Brewing Equipment. We have constructed a two tier brewing system which consists of converted 1/2 barrel kegs for the hot liquor tank, mash tun and boil kettle. Ball valves and Brewmometers are installed in each keg. The hot liquor tank also has a sight glass for the measurement of water additions. We use the keg mash tun when brewing 10 gallon batches, and have a 48 quart Igloo Cube Cooler that is used as the mash tun when brewing 5 gallon batches. A 12" round stainless steel false bottom is interchangeable between the two. A March 809 pump is used to pump the hot wort through the homemade wort chiller. This chiller drops the temp of the wort from 200 deg f to 65 deg f going into the fermenter. As far as fermenters go, we use both 5 and 6.5 gallon glass carboys and a 14 gallon stainless steel Fermenator. A JSP Maltmill has been motorized for grain crushing with a custom built hopper. The newest addition to the brew rig has been a water filter to take out any sediment or chlorine that is present in our local water.
